Wunderpus Octopus (Wunderpus photogenicus)

The Wunderpus Octopus is recommended exclusively for experienced aquarists. It requires a mature, highly stable, species-specific aquarium with a soft sandy substrate, plenty of hiding places, excellent water quality, and a completely escape-proof lid.

These octopuses are skilled escape artists and can squeeze through surprisingly small openings. They may initially require live foods and should not be housed with fish or crustaceans that could become prey.

Like other octopuses, the Wunderpus has a naturally short lifespan, and its age at the time of collection is generally unknown.
