Mappa Puffer | Arothron Mappa - Tank Requirements At this small size, a 55 gallon tank is sufficient.  However, as it grows, the Mappa Puffer | Arothron Mappa will eventually need a 180 gallon or larger, fish-only aquarium with a good protein skimmer.  It will generally live peacefully with other fish, even other puffers. It will eat invertebrates. The Mappa Puffer | Arothron Mappa needs a varied diet of meaty foods including hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth. It hunts at night, so it may be most active at night.
