Larvatus (chaetodon larvatus) butterflies are a stunning Red Sea fish.
They are fairly difficult to acclimate to aquarium life. They require lots of live rock to graze on, otherwise, they will wither and die.
Do not keep with aggressive tankmates.
Feed a variety of meaty items.
***Expert only please. Due to their delicate nature, these fish are covered by our live arrival guarantee only, not 14 day***.***

The fish arrived in excellent health and began eating clams on the half shell immediately. Two weeks after arrival, the fish is now eating brine shrimp and mysis. I was concerned that as a corallavore he might be difficult to feed, but that has not been the case. Very happy with this purchase!
