Parablennius intermedius – Horned Blenny
The Horned Blenny (Parablennius intermedius) is a quirky and charismatic species, instantly recognized by the small horn-like appendages above its eyes. Native to rocky reefs and coastal zones, this blenny uses its excellent camouflage and quick movements to dart between crevices, giving it both personality and charm in the aquarium.
With its inquisitive behavior, animated expressions, and habit of perching on rocks to watch its surroundings, P. intermedius makes a delightful addition to a marine setup. It adapts well to prepared foods such as frozen mysis, brine, and finely chopped seafood, but also grazes naturally on algae and microfauna.
