Hawaiian Black Longnose Tangs (Zebrasoma Rostratum) - General Information
This species is black overall with a very long snout. Large specimens have a greenish-silver streak down the upper part of the body. This species is collected only from Christmas Island in the South Pacific and is rarely available. It is one of the most peaceful members of the genus, and like other Zebrasoma, it is generally easy to care for. If you have ever wanted to own one of these beauties, don't delay. They won't last long!
Hawaiian Black Longnose Tangs (Zebrasoma Rostratum) - Tank Requirements
Like all Zebrasomas, Hawaiian Black Longnose Tangs (Zebrasoma Rostratum) do best in larger tanks (minimum 125 gallons), with plenty of live rock to graze on. If you are going to attempt to keep more than one Zebrasoma tang together, you should only do so in a larger (240 gal) tank, and should try to add them all at the same time. They can be territorial with similar fish.
